The marathon in Chicago went really well!
All six representatives completed the marathon (42 km and 195 meters) successfully.
The weather was good, dry and clear. This contributed to the huge amount
of people on the streets in order to see the marathon. The enthusiastic
audience cheered our Dutch guys with "Hey Dutchies, you are doing great!" Everybody
could recognize our guys from miles away because of their bright orange
colored t-shirts with the words ‘ Holland, Hilvarenbeek’. (pictures
of our guys are to be found under their names on the site; www.chicagomarathon.com).
Arnold, Ger, Harrie, Henk, Jack and Ron raised a huge amount of money
for the foundation; 1197,80 euro! THANKS GUYS!
