Fleemarket Turnhout succesful again!
Sunday, the 2nd of July, we arrived at the fleemarket very early in the morning and managed to occupy the best spot of the entire market like last year! Again we had a gigantic stand, not beaten by anyone else in its entire length.
There was a huge variety of stuff, from ice-skates to babydolls. Thanks everyone for all the stuff donated!! It was a tropical day with temperatures around 30C. The atmosphere was good, our southern neighbours were friendly and in the mood for buying. Next to the real bargain buyers, there were also a lot of people showing interest in the aim and projects of our Foundation. There were even some people who recognised us from the year before.
We made a 500,00 euro profit. A very satisfying amount which will be used for the renovation of the school in Jasinga.
Special thanks to Piet and Anite for using their bus. And ofcourse to our volunteers on the day; Gerda, Liesbeth, Bep & Leo, Ton and Arnold. Without them we would have never be able to do it!
The stuff that hasn’t been sold will be sold at the small local fleemarket in August.
