Delicious Dutch Night
Bart, Marielle, Nadine and Jeroen, four students from the Higher Hotel Academy in Breda, organised a great night breathing a nostalgic Dutch atmosphere at the ice -skating club in Roosendaal on the 7 th of December ’06. As being part of a school assignment, they had to organise a gastronomic event of which the proceeds had to go to a charity Foundation.
The students were very well prepared and organised. There was a three-course menu, a drink and the quests could go for a little ice-skating adventure. The menu matched the freezing conditions featuring a typical Dutch lentil/pea-soup, mashed potatoes with cabbage & a meatball or sausage and ‘poffertjes’ (little Dutch pancakes) or sweet French Toast for dessert.
The students were sponsored by the local businesses in Roosendaal. The foundation was present with an information stall. All the guests were informed about the mission and goals of Yayasan Jasinga. It was a very nice evening and €512,03 was raised for the school in Jasinga. Thanks guys!!
