Flee Market Turnhout in tropical heat
For the 3 rd time, the Foundation had a massive stall at the famous fleemarket in Turnhout. And again we managed to occupy our favorite spot at the market. It took several hours before we had unpacked the numerous ‘banana’ boxes with all the stuff that has been donated for this event. We were only just in time for the big mass of people who were floating the market. There was endless bargaining and trading of goods. Our brochure was received with interest by the buyers and knowing their money was going to such a good course made it extra worthwhile for them to buy more stuff. It was a tropical day. A big compliment goes to our volunteers who protected themselves with parasols and hats against the strong sun. We were very satisfied with the day when we had packed our stuff at the end of the day and were cooling down on a terrace with a nice cold beverage.
Special thanks to Piet and Anite for letting us borrow their van again. And ofcourse a big thank you to our volunteers, Mientje, Liesbeth, Bep, Leo, Ton and Arnold. We could have never done it without all your help!
