Benefit Concert in Deurne
The members of the Lions Club Deurne are actively supporting two charity projects in developing countries since February 2007. De Club raises money for Yayasan Jasinga Foundation in Indonesia and the Affamir Foundation in Cameroon. The benefit concert is the grande finale of numerous activities held throughout the year to raise money which included:
- Wine sale (from Feb 07)
- Books and records market (Sept 07)
- Action St-Willibrordus high school (Oct 07)
- Action primary school Tijl Uilenspiegel (March 08)
- Recycling action in collaboration with Supermarket Plus in Deurne (Dec 07 – Jan 08)
The proceeds of the concert will go entirely to the charity organisations thanks to Conference Hotel Willibrordhaeghe and Harmony Orchestra KHD.
