Geshi to boarding school
Our visit to boarding school Bhakti Luhur confirmed again that this was a good place for handicapped children. Earlier we had placed Ela here which has led to good experiences. This time, with approval from the parents, we have placed 14 year old Geshi at the same school. The parents of Geshi are very relieved that they finally receive some help for their daughter. Geshi is very excited to go to school. She is lightly physically and mentally handicapped. She has always lived with her parents, now she finally can go to school. The school will also look whether she can be stimulated and supported in improving her physical abilities. It’s such a shame there are no such facilities in Jasinga for girls like Geshi. Until there are, SYJ will make it possible that Geshi lives at the special boarding school.
